After careful consideration given to three quotations obtained for the supply and installation of a 5kw solar power grid system, it started to become quite clear from the initial visit from Murray (managing director) CPS, that his company and his experience in the solar industry over many years was just a little bit more outgoing and professional than his competitors.
Personal presentation, a no nonsense explanatory breakdown of how the various systems work that even a simple layman can understand, very competitive pricing , no pressure sales tactics, and without being asked, the company was prepared to handle all the necessary paperwork involved with the local power authority. We also liked the fact that Murray is not just another salesman telling you what you may or may not want to hear, and is a qualified electrician and still practices in the field alongside his staff when time allows.
We decided to give Murray and his team the contract and after a short period of time the installation date was set. On the day two electrical installers arrived and Charlie our cat, took off ! However they proceeded to carry out the task at hand. It was a long full day. Murray put in an appearance just to check things were OK, then left the boys to it. They went hard out all day till late evening without complaint and when finished the cat came back. An excellent effort, no rubbish left lying around and no scratches or marks left on walls, and all panels put up straight etc.
Without doubt we are very pleased we had CPS Solar Ltd do the job. I believe through plain courtesy, CPS have gone the extra mile, especially Josh and his team mate who did the installation.
A very well polished, professional company that would be hard to fault. A very good effort from the guys and also the office lassie.

When we learned about CPS it was totally by accident really, but we are really glad we did now. The service we received was fast, reliable and friendly. Working in the construction industry myself I have since learnt that Murray and his team are highly regarded in the solar industry by both suppliers and other trades alike.
We have had a 3 kW solar PV system installed and the power bills even over the winter months have been far lower than expected (averaged under $100 so far), even with panels at a low pitch. Not bad for a family of 8. Looking forward to either low or no bills at all as we near towards summer and we sell the surplus back to the grid. We had one power bill in Feb 2013 for just 13 cents! Mind you it was a cracking summer! We love tracking what the solar is generating too using the online tool.
A very knowledgeable and reliable team who do a good, clean job. They even coordinated the power company paperwork to take the whole hassle out of the process.

I engaged Murray after doing a lot of personal research to the point of contemplating sourcing solar panels myself from China. This engagement led to me letting Murray take over the design and installation of the 5kw system due to his technical competence and competitive pricing.
I have subsequently added to my on-grid battery-less system and now have 2x5kW systems and am extremely pleased with the result which was designed and installed professionally.
Last month, August 2013, I billed Contact $150 (this was in the NZ winter) for my surplus electricity and feel good that I am, in some small way, contributing towards a better, more sustainable world.

They installed 14 panels on our roof in one long run, in just a few short hours, in the pouring rain!!!! A grand job done with cheerfulness and politeness. They were tidy, sweeping out our garage when they were finished and putting coffee mugs in the dishwasher.
These guys went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and understood the whole solar process. On time, price guaranteed before purchase, polite and generally just nice to have in our home.
